ask most.
Simple answers to the questions that matter
before you trust something with what matters.
Can I lose fragments?
Can I lose fragments?
Yes, if you lose too many. YourKeep uses a threshold you define when protecting your files. As long as you keep enough fragments, your data can always be recovered.
What if YourKeep disappears one day?
What if YourKeep disappears one day?
Your data is not locked to YourKeep. The format and recovery protocol are open. Even if we disappear, your fragments can still be recovered with any compatible tool.
What if Dropbox, Google Drive, or any service shuts down?
What if Dropbox, Google Drive, or any service shuts down?
Nothing happens. Your fragments are independent. If one place fails, your other copies keep your data safe.
Can anyone see or reconstruct my data?
Can anyone see or reconstruct my data?
No. Your files are encrypted before they leave your device and split into fragments. Without enough fragments and your key, your data is impossible to reconstruct.
